If you review the tapes for The Rachel Maddow Show and Keith Olbermann’s Countdown on MSNBC (especially Rachel’s bscauee her investigations of these town hall disruptions is very detailed), you will learn that the big-moneyed groups orchestrating and scripting these town hall disruptions (lobbyists for big oil like API and Koch Family Foundations, pharmaceuticals, insurance industry, and the cult-evangelicals who are rabidly against abortion and also against having Democrats be in the majority) are well-planned well in advance by right-wing extremists. Rachel actually caused right-wing Dick Armey to lose his 6-year job at the DLA Piper company, a HUGE lobbying firm (for, among others, the Shiekh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates/UAE and also Ruler of Dubai the country Bush wanted to sell control of our ports to if you recall). There is a lot at stake in this upcoming mid-term election, and the cult-evangelicals and greed-driven Republicans are fighting dirty and mean to try to one-up our President and the Democrats now in control of both the House and the Senate. The Republicans all along planned on using a very negative PR campaign once the Republican representative planted the counseling provision pretending to (probably using Hill Knowlton PR firm in Washington DC to paint Saddam Hussein as a villain to the American people, as discovered by 60 Minutes and Rossi, 2005). Notice all the ad buys on CNN and FOX News for insurance, pharmaceuticals, oil and energy industries, and other opponents of President Obama’s initiatives on behalf of the American people. I write each ad company’s name down to keep a running record. After President Obama and his Defense Secretary Robert Gates (a Republican appointed by Bush with a record of fairness) announced cutting more than half of the F-22 planes (made by Lockheed-Martin, with engines made by Boeing), guess who took out ads that evening a one-time only airing (so probably some stealth dollars went to executives at the news stations), and their news reports dutifully shifted to the ambiguous and/or the negative. The Republicans are pushing the idea that old people are at risk if President Obama succeeds (not true at all they are at risk if he DOESN’T) bscauee this is a huge voting block, so elderly people are expressing irrational fears such as the one you’ve cited above. Don’t fall for the elephant dung being passed onto the public after a sprinkling of perfume to disguise it’s true identity long enough to disrupt meetings or block legislations the American people want.
